BellUp - Privacy Policy

BellUp does not collect your data. There is no account, no server and no analytics. Your timetable, your notes and your attachments are stored on your device and nowhere else.

What we collect

Nothing. BellUp has no user accounts, no sign-in and no back end. We never ask for your name, your date of birth, your email address, your school, your phone number or your location, and there is no server for such information to be sent to.

What stays on your device

Everything you put into BellUp — your timetable, subjects, teachers, rooms, notes, photographs and attached files — is held in a database in the app’s private storage on your device. It is not transmitted anywhere. Uninstalling BellUp removes all of it.

Reading a timetable from a photograph

BellUp reads your printed timetable using Google ML Kit Text Recognition, which runs entirely on your device. The photograph is not uploaded, and the feature works with no network connection at all.

Permissions, and why

Permission	Used for
Camera	Only when you choose to photograph a timetable or a note. BellUp never opens the camera on its own.
Photos and files	Only when you choose one to attach. BellUp reads the single file you pick and nothing else.
Notifications	Only if you switch on class reminders. Reminders are scheduled on your device from your own timetable.

Advertising and tracking

BellUp contains no advertising, no advertising identifiers, no analytics and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not build a profile of you, and we have nothing to sell or share, because we hold nothing.

Payments

BellUp offers an optional subscription. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store; we never see your card details, your billing address or your name. The app is told only whether a subscription is active.

Children

BellUp is intended for school and college students and is safe for children. Because no personal information is collected, transmitted or stored off the device, there is nothing about a child user for us or anyone else to obtain.

Your rights

Data protection law gives you rights to access, correct and erase personal data held about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to request. Your data is on your device and under your control: you may edit or delete any of it in the app at any time, and uninstalling removes all of it permanently.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date. Any change that affected what BellUp collects would be announced in the app first.
